Thanks

carquotes.fateback.com - try this one. I have their car insurance and, as I know, they can provide such a service.

It depends on what province you live in. Most provinces require that you change your license within 90 days of moving to the province. If you have not done this then technically you are driving without a valid license, so your insurance won't be valid. So if you're in a province that is 100% privately run (Ontario, Alberta, Maritimes), then you may have a hard time finding an insurer who will be willing to insure you at a reasonable rate. If you're in a province with government run insurance (B.C., Manitoba, Saskatchewan), then you'll have an easier time of it, however you'll still need to change your license over. Regardless of which province you're in, you will need a letter of experience from your insurer in England or else you would only qualify for base rate/new driver rate.

If your credit card is a Visa or Mastercard then I do not see any problem whatsoever using it here. If the credit card company (not the institution that issued it) is something unique to the U.K. or Europe then you may want to test it a store first to ensure it works.

NjH, Try getting an online insurance quote from one of the major insurance providers.
