I'd say go for the best deal you get, because when it comes to the crunch you have the same rights by law, regardless of who you are with. However you should Check with your state's insurance department to see if who you choose to go with are licensed to do business.

Sure you should switch. Just don't have an accident. Then you will find why the premiums were so low.
Check the AMBest rating of the company. With AMBest I wouldn't use them unless they have an A- rating or better, that's just me. You want to be sure if there is a disaster, they will have enough financial strength to pay all of the claims, including yours. Then, if they are all rated about the same, check with your State's Insurance Dept to see if there are any consumer complaints & what they were (some people complain about anything so find out what the complaints were & if there was a pattern). If they have a bunch of auto claims paying complaints or bad faith complaints, stay away.
Price doesn't really matter if they are not there when you need them, when you have a claim. At that time, you probably would have paid much more in premiums if you knew that any claim would go smoothly, quickly & would be settled fairly.
